Household Names
Bernard Madoff and Michael Jackson are now legacy household names. May I suggest that you add two more important names to your household conversations? Benaiah and Jehoiada. Read of them in 2 Samuel 23:20. Important to understanding these men is the meaning of their names. Benaiah means ‘built by Jehovah.’ Jehoiada means ‘Jehovah knows.’ Benaiah killed a lion under the worst of circumstances. He was ‘built’ for the challenge. His dad? Jehoiada, God knew the challenge his son would face, no family surprises to God. A trusting Dad.
Be encouraged, my friend. Whatever you and your family are facing, God built you. He knows you. Trust Him.
